Dr. Buono will tailor a series of treatments based on your aesthetic goals, and amount of fullness under your chin.

Kybella® is synthetic deoxycholic acid as an injection that permanently destroys fat cells in the treatment area under the chin to improve your chin profile. It is a series of treatments with multiple injections under the chin with up to 6 treatments at least 1 month apart.

Tenderness and swelling after the procedure; swelling may last several days.

It’s important to be patient in anticipating the results and allow your body time to process the fat cleared from the treatment area after each visit.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?

It is important to know of every possible risk or side effect. Sometimes serious side effects can occur, including nerve injury in the jaw that can temporarily cause an uneven smile or facial muscle weakness (experienced by 4 out of 100 people in clinical studies) and trouble swallowing (experienced by 2 out of 100 people in clinical studies). The most common side effects in the treatment area include: swelling, bruising, pain, numbness, redness, and areas of hardness. Side effects are usually temporary and often resolve on their own.
